If you’re planning to get a rhytidectomy or another similar procedure, you’ve likely spent hours researching the different types of face lift procedures, what each procedure is like, and how much each one costs. If you’ve started to feel overwhelmed by the research process, you’re not alone. Finding all of this info can be a daunting task.

With our help, you can find the info you need to make an informed decision about the best procedure for your needs and lifestyle. If you’re in the market for a rhytidectomy, then Luxe Skin is the place to go. We offer many options for a non-surgical facelift in Glasgow so that, once you’ve done your research and spoken with our professional team, you can plan the look you’ve always wanted.

Non-Surgical and Minimally-Invasive Facelifts

When you think of a rhytidectomy or facelift, you most likely think of the invasive surgical procedure that has an intensive recovery time. Did you know, though, that there are plenty of non-surgical or minimally-invasive types of facelifts, like a Spring Thread Lift or FaceTite? These may be more viable options than an invasive surgical procedure.

FaceTite/NeckTite

If you’re looking for a minimally invasive rhytidectomy, then FaceTite and NeckTite are exactly what you’re looking for. FaceTite is a facelift procedure that uses radiofrequency to help tighten, firm, and lift skin. The FaceTite tool is inserted into a narrow space under your skin and the radiofrequency melts the fat on your face and neck and tightens the skin there, giving you near-permanent results like a surgical facelift. The best part? FaceTite procedures only require three small incisions on either side of your jaw to achieve fantastic results.

Instead of the more major anaesthesia you might need for a full surgical procedure, a local anaesthetic is more than enough to keep you from feeling too much pain during the procedure. Additionally, because the procedure doesn’t require major surgery, you won’t feel much, if any, pain during the healing process.

With a FaceTite or NeckTite procedure, you can enjoy long-lasting results that can rival those of traditional facelifts, but without the lengthy recovery time. These procedures typically last for five years or more, making them an attractive option for those looking for a minimally invasive way to improve their appearance.

Spring Thread Lift

The Spring Thread Lift, also known as the One-Stitch Face Lift, is another minimally invasive facelift procedure that involves using the patented Spring Thread system. The Spring Thread Lift uses a flexible and elastic thread that anchors into the skin and lifts the brows, cheeks, jaws, and other areas of the face. Essentially, the Spring Thread Lift derives its name from the process of “stitching” the skin together, removing wrinkles and fine lines.

Spring Thread Lifts are extremely safe and are made using materials that are safe to use under the skin. They’re elastic, allowing you to move easily and naturally, and can last three years or more before the elasticity in them starts to fail. This procedure also causes minimal scarring, takes very little healing time, and can easily be done under a local anaesthetic.

PDO Thread Lift

A PDO Thread Lift is very similar to the Spring Thread Lift but differs in the length of time the procedure lasts. Much like the Spring Thread Lift, the PDO Thread Lift is achieved by inserting threads under the skin to anchor onto it, lifting the jaw, brows, cheeks, or any other part of the face.

Unlike the Spring Thread Lift, however, the threads involved with the PDO Thread Lift dissolve in time. The results don’t last as long either because of this, fading in 12-15 months. While some instances of the PDO Thread Lift can last longer, it’s not designed to be permanent, meaning that you’ll have to get repetitive treatments if you decide to go this route.

Benefits of Non-Surgical Facelifts

While surgical facelifts do have their benefits, you must also consider what goes into having them done. A full surgical procedure means that you’ll likely have a hospital stay, go under full anaesthesia, and will have to set aside several weeks to heal. With a non-surgical facial, you won’t have to worry about any of that.

Because non-surgical facelifts can be completed with a local anaesthetic, there’s no need to head into the hospital or have an overnight hospital stay. Instead, you can head right into your cosmetic physician’s office, have the procedure done, and leave the same day. Also, because there is no major surgery involved, your healing process will be much quicker and much less painful. This means you can get back to your daily routine and enjoy your newly improved appearance in no time at all.

Non-surgical facelifts may not be permanent like surgical facelifts, but some options like the FaceTite procedure and the Spring Thread procedure can last for five years or more if well maintained. While that may not be permanent, you might consider it a beneficial trade-off for the lack of stress the procedure will put you through.

In the end, whether you decide to go the non-surgical or the surgical route is all dependent upon what you most want out of your procedure. However, having as much information as you can about the procedures can help you make an informed decision.
